In the book Smells Like Dog,you meet a boy named Homer Pudding.He is an ordinary farm boy who wants to be a treasure hunter just like his uncle Drake Pudding.But then a tragic thing happens.People said in the the newspaper that Homer’s uncle had got eaten by a tortoise. And then the Pudding family got something that Homer’s uncle had left him.So now Homer is stuck with a droopy dog with no sense of smell and a mystery.And who will be the one to continue Drake’s quest of finding the coveted pirate treasure in the world? Well if YOU want to find out what is going to happen in the book you should read it.
I recommend this book for anybody who likes a twist of mystery and fantasy. My favorite part was when Homer met Lorelei and they became best friends.

Gib Finney used to be a regular boy. But everything changes when an old man in the woods gives him the Unner. With the Unner you can redo any mistake. When it gets dark, Gib goes because he is late for dinner. Gib runs through the woods, trips on a root and drops the unner. It is really dark, so Gib will have to look for the Unner tomorrow. Gib was planning to go to the carnival with his best friend, Ash. Gib had found out earlier that evening that he had to bring his little sister, Roxy to the carnival with them because Roxy’s babysitter Rainy Frogner backed out of babysitting her because of a spitball incident that had happened in school earlier that day. At the carnival, Gib wants to ride on the Devil’s Elevator, a new ride at the carnival. Roxy has to stand in a certain spot while Gib and Ash ride the Elevator. Then Roxy sees a stray dog and chases it. The dog runs in front of a moving truck and Roxy follows it. The truck hits Roxy. Gib now has to find the Unner, find out how to use it and go back and save Roxy. I recommend this book to whoever likes alot of suspense. My favorite part is when Gib starts the spitball incident.
DragonBreath By Ursula Vernon (147 pages)

In the book DragonBreath it is about two guys named Danny and Wendall. There on a mission to find Danny’s long lost cousin Edward. Later in the story Danny and Wendall take a bus to Sargasso sea (they believe that Edward is there). They find Edward there and Danny wants to go down with him to but they will drown. So Edward gives them mints so they can breath underwater. When they are underwater They find the lost city of Atlantis, they were almost eaten by a shark and they were chased by a giant squid.
My favorite part was when Danny has a paper about a rare and real animal and he choose a snorkelbat (which is not real because he made it up on the bus). When he got it back he got a F. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes dragons and reptiles.
Star Hatchling By Margret Bechard

The story Star Hatchling is about an seprate world from ours (we do not know the name) were creature that we call indigies live. All was peacful there until a spaceship landed there and out came Hanna a human. Two indigies found her and their names were Shem and Checko.They decided to conceal her from the other to learn more about her.Shem and Checko often have troubles hiding Hanna but they always find a way. But then a council meeting is called and Shem and Checko fear that it is about Hanna.Read this book to find out what happens next.
I recommend this book to any one that is a fan of sci-fi.
My favorite part is when Shem and Checko are stuck in a Sheemoo tank.

The book sign of the beaver is about a boy named Matt who is left by himself while his dad goes to get Matt’s mom his sister Sarah and the baby while hes alone Matt tries to get honey from a bee hive and gets stung then falls into water and almost drowns but then Attean saves him this is how these two meet. my favorite part is when Attean teaches Matt how to make a snare. this book is realistic fiction.

Today I will be blogging about the book “The Power of Un” by Nancy Etchemendy.
One day a boy named Gib is at school working on a science project with a bossy girl named Lorraine Frogner also known as Rainy Frogner. Gib and Rainy get into a fight. They get so mad, they get into a spitball fight. Later, when Gib gets home from school, his parents inform him that Rainy will not be babysitting Gib’s younger sister Roxy tonight. Gib is not happy with this because he wants to go to the carnival with his best friend Ash and does not want to bring his sister. Gib gets so mad he leaves home to go take a walk in the woods. While he is in the woods, he finds an old man who smells like lightning and who gives Gib a piece of machinery called The Unner. The Unner looks like a calculator. Gib brought the Unner with him to the carnival. When Gib gets at the carnival with Ash and Roxy, they want to go to a fortune teller named Madame Isis. When they arrive there, Gib sees the old man who looks like he is Madame Isis’s partner. When Gib asks Madame Isis what his future will be, she says stay close to Roxy tonight. She does not say why. But Gib will find out soon. Later, Roxy says she wants a candy apple. While Roxy is eating that, Gib and Ash go on a ride called “The Devil’s Elevator.” While they are on it, Roxy can’t bite the candy apple. She gets so frustrated, she throws it on the ground. A dog comes up and picks it up and Roxy chases after it Unfortunately, the dog leads to the road and Roxy gets hit by a truck. Gib is so sad. But then he thinks how the Unner can erase things and re-do them. The only problem is, Gib does not know how to work the Unner. After experimenting a bit, he finally figures it out. When he re-does it, Roxy does not get hit, but Rainy. This is how it happen…Rainy shoots the spitball at school, but Gib blames it on him. Rainy writes Gib a love note and comes over to babysit Roxy. But the problem is, Rainy decided to bring Roxy to the carnival. And then a repeat of what happened in the first place. Finally, when Gib re-does it again, Roxy or Rainy does not get hit, but Gib gets hit and breaks his leg. Gib realizes at the end of the book that he is the old man in the woods.
My favorite part of the book “The Power of Un” is when Roxy gets hurt because this is when all of the a action begins. Also, when Gib tries to fix the problems.
My favorite character in the book “The Power of Un” is Gib because he is the main character and is the person who tries to find a solution. Gib did find a solution.
I would recommened this book to anyone who likes when people try to fix their problems because this is what this book is mostly about.

In the book Peter and the Starchacters Peter is an orphan who is going on a ship to rundown to serve King Zarboff the third. On the ship Peter meets this girl named Molly. Molly and her father are Starchacters. They collect fallen star stuff which gives you powers. On the ship pirates attack them because they are trying to get the star stuff for themselves. The broken ship drifts off to an island with these savages that are cannibals. They try to eat Peter and Molly and their friends. But Peter fights back and doesn’t get eaten. Peter touches a large amount of star stuff that gives him a power to always be able to fly. But it keeps him from aging. Peter and Molly save the star stuff. But Peter stays on the island after he makes a treaty saying that the savages won’t eat him. Peter stays with his friends but Molly leaves Peter to go with her father. My favorite part about the book is when Peter gets the powers. I like this part because it tells how Peter is able to fly. The book is basically the prequel to Peter Pan. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a well written adventure fantasy novel.
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Cabin Fever (Capitalization)

The book is 217 pages. Author is jeff kinny. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes to watch people getting in trouble and try to make money for a game.
I liked this book because I like some action like people getting yelled at, people in police chases or on the run because they got in trouble. I like doing things to make money.
Diary of a wimpy kid cabin fever is about a boy that has a virtual pet called Gregorys little friend and Greg needs money to buy things for his pet. Greg try’s to make a holiday bazaar but when Greg was putting up Neon signs it started to rain and stained the school wall and he couldn’t get it off. When the school vice principal found out what happened the principal asked people to fess up.So Rowly wrote a note saying me and Greg did it. So Greg said he did it but didn’t say who the me was. So Greg had to scrub the whole thing off with bleach and a sponge and it took him 2 hours he got home at 5. Finally Greg went back to the church to collect his money under the recycling bin that he asked for.But he couldn’t find the recycle bin so he shoveled the whole church so the soup kitchen went back in business.
Then the cops came to his house to collect the last of the donations.He thought it was for him. Finally he Revealed himself as the person that shoveled the church so he was never caught and turned out to be famous to the town.The end.

In this book there is a boy named Rafe who HATES middle school so he comes up with operation Rafe which is a huge plan to brake all rules in the student handbook.Somethings Rafe does are things that you would never think of like on halloween day his costume was a guy in his underwear also he sells an energy drink that is like contraband around his school also his greatest in his mind is when he draws all over the gym wall.This is realistic fiction.I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good comedy and realistic fiction.My favorite part in middle school the worst years of my life is when Rafe goes into school on halloween as a man with just underware on it was very funny.

In this book there is a boy named Gib who is so mad one day because a babysitter canceled because she’s mad at Gib when gib is running a weird old man scares Gib and gives him something called the unner that you can go back in time with when Gibs little sister Roxy runs into the the street chasing a dog she gets hit by a truck so gib uses the unner. to go back but then Rainy gets hit so then Gib uses the unner again the next time he gets hit and breaks his leg.This is a science fiction book .I would recommend this book to anyone who likes sic fi.My favorite part in the power of un is when Gib meets the old man in the woods because it is so mysterious.
